Dr. David B Capes is the Director of the Lanier Theological Library in Houston Texas. Prior to that he served as Dean and Professor of New Testament in the School of Biblical & Theological Studies at Wheaton College. For more than 25 years he has held faculty and administrative posts at Houston Baptist University and Houston Graduate School of Theology. He has earned degrees from Mercer University (BA, Religion), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv and PhD). In addition to serving as adjunct for several other universities, he currently leads classes at Baylor University’s Truett Seminary and at the Lanier Library. He is married to Cathy Ann Hall and together they have three boys and three grandchildren.
Capes co-hosted a popular radio show in Houston called “A Show of Faith” (AM 1070 The Answer). In addition, he hosts two podcasts: “Exegetically Speaking” for Wheaton College and “The Stone Chapel” for the Lanier Theological Library.
